Coincidence, Karma, or Just Life?

Is it coincidence?

I'm sure everyone has had an experience in their life that they just couldn't explain.  Someone you are thinking about shows up to your house or calls you.  You decide to go to a different store and find out the store you usually go to has been robbed.  You choose a different way home from work and find out that there was a car accident on your usual route.  So are these situations coincidence?  I have a hard time believing in coincidence.  I have had too many strange experiences happen to me to just label it as ordinary as that.

For example, I used to own this silver Honda Crv.  It was a nice vehicle, but had a hefty payment of 450 a month. Ouch!  I could afford it when I first bought it, was making my payments, and then Bam! situation changed, and I couldn't make the payments.   Toyota informed me it was going to be repossessed.  Bummer, that definitely was karma.  We cleaned it out, and removed our Clarion Cd player.  The same day, my husband's dad offers to help us pay for an old truck that we had been looking at to get us around in the meantime.  Truck gets bought and paid for and registered the day the CRV gets towed away.  Coincidence?  ? I think not.

Another example, we were told by my landlord that we were going to have to move places, because his daughter needed the place.  We had a month to figure it out.  Our friends had just rented a basement apartment of a house.  They told us about how their upstairs neighbors were impossible to deal with and hoped that they would move out.  I was looking for places, the whole month, and the last week of the month we find out that the tenants had moved out.  Just in time for us to move in and live above our friends.

I have an extensive list of these little "coincidences".  Many of them I believe to be just my intuition guiding me to where I need to be so I'm in "the right place at the right time".  Sometimes I even get the little deja vu feelings that alert me to these little experiences.  In any case,  I see these situations as guidance from my Higher Powers to lead me to where I want to be.

Karmic Lessons

Everyone knows the Golden Rule.  You treat others as you want them to treat you.  That's just one way that Karma is prevalent in our society.  Every action seen or unseen has a consequence, whether we are conscious of it or not.  You cheat on your spouse, you are likely that either your spouse cheats on you or you get cheated on in the future, whether or not your spouse found out about it.  This actually happened to my ex-husband.  It wasn't immediate, but it still happened.  This consequence can be positive or negative, and can even seem negative but really be positive, and vice versa.  What are the purpose for these consequences though?  They aren't just there to bite us or even bless us, even if it seems that way sometimes.  Their primary purpose is to teach.  Just another way for the divine to guide us down the path and help us to fulfill our life's purpose.  I have had some of the worst experiences in my life, and I get asked all the time if I would have "done it differently".  I always smile and say, "No way! I wouldn't know what I know, or be who I am this very minute."

I have bad luck, that makes me a bad person right?

Does it make someone a bad person if they have lots of bad things happen to them?  I think it depends on the situation. Sometimes even the lack of action can cause bad karma,  and the universe is just giving a cosmic nudge to get the ball moving again.  Sometimes things just happen, and there isn't a lot we can do about it.  These are the kinds of experiences that you have to learn to find the silver lining in, and discover the lesson involved.  Some cultures believe that humans live more than one lifetime, and we accumulate karma and continue paying for it in our present life.  It is possible, however I lean more towards the belief that some lessons we just haven't learned, and we will continue repeating it until we do.  That is just life.
